Salome Zourabichvili – the first female president of Georgia in country’s history. In 2018 she became part of still restricted circle of female heads of States. In 2019 Salome Zourabichvili addressed the general debate of the 74th Session of the General Assembly of the UN held 24 – 30 September in New York.
On November 27th of 2019 Georgia took the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe for six months starting from November 27, 2019 until May 15, 2020. Georgia received the Presidency from France at a meeting of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
On September 14th 2017, Georgian Zurab Pololikashvili has been appointed Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the period 2018-2021. He is the youngest secretary general of UNWTO in his entire history.
